An angle is the circular distance between two intersecting lines. An example of an angle is shown below:

How do we show it? Well, start by making a line segment and make another line segment up and down. Erase the parts past the vertex. Draw a line segment in the middle of both of the two 90 degree line segments. Erase the part past the vertex. You have an angle!
