Metaversal dualisation is a technology employed by metaversal civilisations to convert physical structures inside multiverses in the metaverse into rules that determine how multiverses should change over time. Done correctly, this gives them nigh-complete control over the nature of the metaverse that they reside in, though implementing the wrong rules (or even the right rules) can render large swathes of the metaverse completely uninhabitable.

The principle is somewhat similar to a metaversal buffer overflow, though rather than making the information to be sent manifest in a different multiverse, it instead manifests in the abstract part of the metaverse responsible for deciding what should be written to memory in each multiverse in the same place.
