Preons are hypothetical subatomic point particles, being sub-components of quarks and leptons.
Preons were first theorized as a particle that quarks and leptons are made of.
Properties[]
When preons reach degeneracy pressure, quarks decay into preons, creating dense areas that are at least thousands of times more dense than most matter. This is a type of degenerate matter.
Some stars can be made out of preons, which is what we call preon stars. Preon stars would have huge densities, even more density than quark stars. Preon stars could originate from supernova explosions or the Big Bang.
