The Terminal Icosahedron is a product of the Ghuipsuperverse. Before the Terminal Icosahedron existed, the Ghuipsuperverse was simply located inside of THE galaxy, until it started to rotate.
Once upon a time, the Ghuipsuperverse began to rotate, thanks to its hierarchies of unirealities deciding to make it rotate.
The poking arms seen on the image of the Ghuipsuperverse article extend infinitely far away, terminating at the edge of the Terminal Icosahedron. When the superverse was rotated, the edges began to mark spots as trails and once upon a trail came into contact with another trail, if enough a shape could then be described, a physical shape would appear.
This happened, and the shape was an Icosahedron, which was an unexpectedly simple shape for the pathway that the arms took, but the result was accepted anyways.
